I have been playing euphonium and trombone for over 40 years, having grown up in Hampshire and playing in the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra. I’ve been principal euphonium with every band I have been in since then as I have moved round the country; notably in Birmingham with the City of Birmingham Band and in London with Hanwell and Yiewsley and West Drayton. Recently I have been involved in Windbands and as principal euphonium with the XBY band in Bromley, I represented the United Kingdom in the World Championships in Kerkrade, Netherlands where we gained a Gold medal.

I was recently elected as the Chair for the governing charity for Crystal Palace Brass Bands, a role I am extremely proud to hold.
